I have using chemical exfoliation since quite some time and so I had almost given up on scrubs. I also found that they can be harsh and can cause micro tears.

When I got this Purebypriyanka Apricot and Date scrub cum pack, I immediately opened it to see the texture of it.

Texture & Consistency: To my surprise, it does not have that gritty texture that can be harsh on your skin. It is not abrasive. The consistency however, is too thick. It can be difficult to apply and remove. So I mix it with a hydrsol while using it and to remove it, I wipe my face with a wet cloth. Priyanka recommends applying a layer of aloe vera on your face and massaging it to remove the pack. My bhabhi uses that way and it suits her.

My experience:

I have almost reached the bottom of this tub. My bhabhi and I use it once/ twice a week depending on our mood and I must say, we love it.

It makes our skin really soft and provides an instant glow. It helps in gently exfoliating the skin and removes the dead dull skin cells to reveal a more brightened and glowing complexion. 

The skin feels smoother. It helps to decongest the pores and clears the skin. Consistent use also reduces the texture on the face and makes it more even toned. It claims to reduce the pigmentation but I have also been using other products in my routine to tackle that and so I would not comment.

On application, it gives a burning sensation to the skin. But, both bhabhi and I have not noticed any redness or reaction because of it. If you have sensitive skin, it might be bothersome. patch test recommended.

Do not use if you have active acne, it might irritate your skin.

Suitable for dry, oily and combination skin.

Would I recommend?

If you are someone who needs bright, glowing, smooth, even toned and reduced texture on the skin, go for it. I would definitely recommend.
