My experience

We all know how beneficial aloe vera gel is for the skin and hair and So, I wanted to give this one a try. The brand seemed to be genuine that served pure and good quality aloe vera gel.

It is a transparent gel that is perfumed to another extent. It has a very strong smell that might irritate you.

I use it at night regularly since almost a couple of weeks. It makes my skin very oily and sticky. It doesn't seem to get absorbed in the skin that well. In the morning when I wash my face, I feel my face gets sticky after it comes in contact with water. This generally doesn't happen with other creams. I haven't seem to notice any major difference also in my skin. It also seems to enhance my pores and makes them more visible.

I feel that it can work better as a primer for make up since it makes your skin tacky which will help your make up to stick to it and last long. I haven't tried it on the hair but would like to give it a shot. At least it can not do any harm (hopefully!).

Since aloe vera gel is beneficial and right now I don't have any major skin issues, so I am continuing to use it. Maybe it is working in some slow mysterious way that I cant see. Don't want to waste it any way. But I wouldn't really try it again.

Pros:

  • Benefits of aloe vera gel
  • Can be used as make up base or primer

Cons:

  • Strong perfume smell
  • Doesn't get absorbed easily
  • Makes skin sticky and greasy
  • Bulky glass packaging

My rating: 2.5/5
