My experience

An ampoule is a supercharged serum with higher concentrations of active ingredients that you're meant to use for a finite amount of time as a booster or when you're having a skin crisis of some sort. You can use it before your serum.

You must have seen this in my stories (if not, you can check my highlights). I was sent this by Beauty Barn India for review purpose.

The packaging is great with a good sturdy dropper. It looks good with a golden glass bottle. The ampoule is transparent liquid with a runny consistency. It spreads very easily on the face.

This ampoule is formulated with key ingredients like Propolis, Houtuynia Cordata Extract and Zinc PCA that is known for their anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial properties and is great for sensitive, acne-prone skin.

Capsicum extract (Houttuynia Cordata Extract) is used instead of purified water to calm the acne. Propolis is a proven source of various acne skin improvement. It is also known for reducing skin inflammation, reducing flushed skin and pigmentation, and increasing skin moisture content. You can read more about Propolis in my previous posts #vanitysparklesexplains

This ampoule also contains moisturizing agents such as Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, and Betaine which effectively provides moisture and hydration to the skin.

On application, I first massage my face in circular motion and then pat the ampoule in. It absorbs pretty quickly but leaves the skin a little sticky or tacky. However, it leaves a great radiance on the skin which I am all for.

I have a little dry patch above my eyebrow and it itches like crazy. After applying this one consistently, it no longer itches. It instantly hydrates my skin. Although, I know an ampoule is to be followed by a moisturizer, I still feel that it does not moisturize enough for dry skin. For oily skin, it is great. Also, it doesn't irritate my acne and helps to calm it down.

In the morning, my skin feels super soft and supple.

Pros:

  • Makes skin brighter and clearer
  • Helps to calm down acne
  • Moisturizes and gyrates the skin
  • Gives skin a healthy glow
  • Suitable for oily, acne prone and sensitive skin types

Cons:

  • Makes the skin a little sticky
  • May not be moisturizing enough for dry skin and needs to be followed by a good moisturizer
  • Expensive

Would I recommend?

If price is no bar for you, invest in it. Works well!

My rating: 4.5/5
