We love taking care of the skin on our face but sometimes we neglect our lips. It is so important to take care of our lips as well since the winters are here and most of us face chapped and flaky lip issues!

Also, we all love matte lipsticks but they can become crusty and enhance the dryness on our lips. And that is just not the way we want our lips to be! We all want to flaunt the beautiful lip shades that we are wearing!

When we talk about lip care, we only think of lip balms, don't we?

There is one more step that we mostly forget, lip scrubs. Maybe because we do not know the importance or because we are too lazy to do it. I fall in the latter category.

Lip scrubs help to remove dead skin from your lips bringing out new fresh layers, making lips soft and smooth. Exfoliating ones lips regularly keeps your lips moist and retain its moisture longer; helping to prevent cracked lips.

There are a lot of easy diys available on the internet to make your own lip scrub but the lazy cat in me just can not do it.

I am currently using the basic organics cinnamon and coffee lip scrub and have been loving it.

Ingredients: Coffee helps to exfoliate the lips and also rejuvenates the lips making them flush with colour. Cinnamon helps to give the lips a temporary plumping effect.

My experience:

I take a little amount of the scrub and massage it gently on my lips. I generally try to do it twice or at least once a week.

The particles are not very abrasive and it helps to gently remove dry flaky layer from the lips to reveal a smoother and softer layer.

My lips appear a bit more pink after I use it.

Since the scrub helps to remove the dry flaky layer from the lips, the lip balm works better in helping to moisturize the lips.
