My experience
I saw this everywhere when I started my journey on Instagram. The water sleeping mask and the lip sleeping mask were raved about soo much!
When I saw this on nykaa, I had to get them!
The first thing is the cutest packaging. I absolutely love how travel friendly it is.
When you open the lid, the first thing you would notice is the smell. It smells amazing!
It has a thick consistency and a small amount is enough to moisturize the lips. Although it doesn't provide any tint to your lips, I would not recommend using it under lipsticks as it is quite creamy.
The first time I used it as a lip sleeping mask, I was in love. The next morning I got up to visibly pinker and softer lips.
Initially, I was using it more as a lip balm. All day, everyday. Somehow, it wasn't working out for me as I saw my lips remained dry. Then I switched to using it only as a lip sleeping mask and I still love it!
Now, the main question, is it worth the hype? Worth the money?
Well, I do not have extremely dry or chapped lips, so I wouldn't know much. But I know people who have dry flaky lips love it to bits!
Although, I have heard a lot of people saying that a simple vaseline or boroline would also work the same and they aren't that expensive. I haven't tried them myself so I wouldn't know!
Let me know in the comments if you have tried them or this mask and how you feel about it.
Pros:
- Smells amazing
- Great for dry and flaky lips
- Makes lips softer and visibly pinker
- Free of Parabens, Pthalates
- Dermatologically tested
- Cruelty free
- Good sturdy packaging
Cons:
- Expensive
Would I recommend?
Give it a try for the hype if you have extremely dry lips.
