Bates Motel review

 Generally, I lose interest in a series if it goes on for too long. But, Bates Motel was one of those that I was hooked to till the end.

I somehow really enjoy psychological thrillers. This series is adapted from the movie Psycho which was another amazing psych thriller. Watch it!

Norman and Norma are the mother-son duo that any girl would dread marrying into. Inseparable and toxic. 

Norman has mental health issues with an Oedipus complex. Norma goes to great lengths to protect her son from everyone and everything she thinks would harm him in any way. Just like those brands who say they consider their brand their 'baby'and so shun all negativity or criticism and live in their own protective positive bubble.

The story is full of suspense, thrill and deep insights about how mental health issues affect not only an individual but everyone around them as well. It also shows how these issues can aggravate if not taken care of at the right time.

I absolutely love the character development and how well the actors have portrayed the roles. The dialogues, the effects, the storyline, everything grips you.

The story has the right pace with the right amount of twists and turns.

If you are a fan of psychological thrillers then this is a must watch!
