The Face Shop Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Spot Patch Kit

Hi friends,

Welcome to Vanity Sparkles.

Today I am going to review the The Face Shop Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Spot Patch Kit.

The Face Shop Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Spot Patch Kit

If you have acne prone skin and you have not heard of this then you have been living under a rock. This product has been marketed so much by all the bloggers as being the one product that helps in making the pimples vanish.

The faceshop Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Spot Patch Kit is a two-step spot soothing and protecting patch kit, containing two kinds of bands, that guards skin against external contamination and helps protect wounds and absorb discharge.
  • Spot Plaster Band: Contains Salicylic Acid and Willow Herb for skin calming
  • Spot Hydrocolloid Band: Hydrogel type that absorbs and protects wound infections
Lets first look at how to use these. Honestly, I was a little lost since the packaging does not describe much. And not all of us are equipped with understanding the technical language.

So, the spot patch kit contains:

Spot Plaster Band: A plaster band containing Tea tree oil, soothes sensitive skin and protects skin against external contamination (helps soothe problematic areas before acne has fully surfaced). Used for acne that is forming but has not surfaced yet.
Quantity: 40 patches

Spot Hydrocolloid Band: A hydrocolloid band that helps absorb and protect wound discharge. It provides relief to wounds from acne extraction. So this one is used when your acne has been fully formed.
Quantity: 40 patches

When I saw the bloggers talking about it, I thought I have to try this one. Sounds so miraculous. (Obviously the PR team of the brand is amazing!).

Now, let me tell you. It does work. But not really the story of over night miracle of vanishing pimples!

It does suppress the pimple a little bit but you have to use it consistently for at least 2-3 days to see a significant change. At least that is what I experienced.

The plaster band helps to suppress the pimple from forming a full fledged visitor and the hydrocolloid helps in reducing the redness and the size of the full fledged visitor if it is there.

Since it is a clear patch you can also use it under your makeup. Some concealer or foundation will hide it. I usually use it over night and actually it is also recommended to be used that way. Do not apply any lotion or cream under this. Use on dry bare face.

Would I recommend?

Yes, if you have acne then you can definitely try it out. Do not expect magic but it will show results eventually.

My rating: 4/5
