Today I am going to review the Aroma Magic Activated Bamboo Charcoal Face Wash.

Most of us are familiar with the CTM (Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing) routine. We all use a face wash as a first step that helps us to remove all the dirt and oil from our face.

I had always wanted to but an Aroma Magic product as the packaging fascinated me. It seemed so luxurious and pretty. Since a face wash is something very basic and most of them suit me, I thought of starting with this one. It also read charcoal and my oily skin was drawn to it.

Aroma Magic was founded by Dr. Blossom Kochar who has created this all-organic ingredient based range of products. It claims to be eco-friendly and having positive, healing effects on the mind, body and soul.

Claims: The activated bamboo charcoal in this formulation allows deep cleansing and rids the skin of impurities and toxins. This amazing face wash lets your skin breathe easy while it removes dead skin cells and impurities. It promotes cell regeneration and increases blood circulation that brings a glow to your skin.

Ingredients: Aqua, Bamboo Charcoal Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Extract, Boswellia Serrata Essential Oil, Tocopherol, Citrus Medica Limonum Essential Oil, Juniperus Communis Essential Oil.

Directions for use: Apply on moist face and neck, massage gently and rinse off with water.

Packaging: It is tube which has a twisting cap which can be inconvenient as the squeezy packaging is better for this kind of a product. It is travel friendly and sturdy.

My experience

The face wash is a light black color of runny gel like consistency. It has a mild smell which seems like charcoal but is not irritating.

The activated bamboo charcoal helps to clean the skin deeply and gets rid of all the impurities. My skin feels cleaner, smoother and softer after using it. It makes the skin radiant and does not break me out.

It removes the excess oil and grime but doesn't dry out the skin completely. However, you would need a moisturizer after it as it is not a moisturizing face wash. It tightens the pores and leaves the skin firm. It removes the dead skin cells which is possible since the skin becomes brighter and smoother after use.

All in all, if you need a face wash that is packed with charcoal to remove dirt and oil, is chemical and paraben free than this is the face wash you can use as it does its job well.
